During the hours listed above, our staff will be checking our email@example.com email and answering our phone at 505-294-2026. We are still working to get all our inventory into the new system, so not all our used stock is reflected on this website. However, our limited staff can check and see if a title is available used if you're interested.
After you decide on the books you’d like, we can call you to so you can pay with a credit card, or you can choose to pay when you arrive.
We are accepting cash, store credits, and gift certificates for curbside pickup.
We’ll bag your purchase up and have it available for either media mail shipping or curbside pickup (at the hours listed above).
The best way to inquire about books is through email at firstname.lastname@example.org, since it’s a more efficient way for us to check our shelves for you. Thank you!

Digital audiobooks through Libro.fm!
We now offer digital audiobooks that you can listen to on your phone (iPhone/Android) or your PC (and they have instructions for how to download on the player of your choice). These are available through our partner Libro.fm and all sales support our store!

Instore Computer Failure & New System
Over the weekend of 5/9/20-5/11/20, we discovered that our instore computer system had a catastrophic failure, wiping out our ability to use our instore registers, search our inventory, and access all of our customer data. During this time, we recorded all transactions and store matters by hand, causing slowdowns and delays.
In late June, we installed a new, more powerful inventory and register system. Now we’re adding all of our inventory (we’re roughly guessing twenty thousand books that need to be added, not to mention all the non-book items), getting the system up and running, and training our staff to use the new system. The support team for this new system is wonderful and helping us make great progress, but even still it will take a while before it’s fully functional. We think that this change will be more than worth it, and we thank you for your patience during the transition period.
We cannot do returns at this time.
Once something leaves the store, it cannot come back in. If you find that your purchase is defective, please contact us immediately.
If you use curbside pickup, be sure to wear your mask at all times. Once you arrive, stay in your car and call us to let us know you’ve arrived. We will confirm your name and the vehicle you’ve arrived in. If you have prepaid, we will bring your purchase to you. If you have chosen to pay on arrival, we will come and take your form of payment, complete the transaction in the store, and return with your purchase and your change. If you’ve decided to use curbside pickup but don’t drive, please use the squares marked outside the store.

—Wear your face mask at all times. We will refuse entry to anyone not wearing a mask.
—Our store capacity is 10 customers at a time. Please come in groups of no more than 2 or 3.
—Practice social distancing. Please stay a safe six feet away from your fellow customers and bookstore employees. In general, that’s two individual shelf lengths away while in the aisles. There will be floor markings at the register.
—Stay home if you feel ill.

Ordering over the Phone
If you would prefer to order a book over the phone for instore pickup, curbside pickup, or shipping, we're more than happy to help you! Call us at 505-294-2026 during our open hours and we'll guide you through the process. If your book is unavailable instore, we'll see if it's available for special order. Unless the book is out of print or unavaiable in the United States, we'll do our best to find your book!
We generally hold books requested over the phone for 48 hours. Books that are special ordered are held for two weeks.
Arranging a Signing
If you're interested in arranging a signing with Page 1, please email firstname.lastname@example.org with your name, the title the book, the ISBN, the release date, the retail price of the book, a short bio, and an author headshot. Our event coordinator will be in touch!
Note: Due to the pandemic, physical author events are on hold indefinitely.
