Bookseller (Full-Time and Part-Time)
Page 1 Bookstore is a locally owned and independently operated bookstore that opened more than 40 years ago. We are dedicated to the community we serve and to the books we sell. We regularly host author talks, book signings, and other instore and offsite activities. Our booksellers are the first point of contact for customers and are expected to create a friendly, professional, and helpful environment in the store. Our booksellers are book lovers: you should feel comfortable talking about and selling a range of books, though a specialization in an age group or genre is also helpful. 
 
Primary responsibilities for booksellers include assisting customers with book and gift purchases, point-of-sale transactions, shelving and inventory maintenance, store and display upkeep, and participating in store promotions and events. If you have any other skills or experience, such as social media management or graphic/web design, be sure to note it on your resume, though this is not required.

*This is a detailed and sometimes physically demanding job. You will spend long hours on your feet, and must be able to lift up to 40lb boxes, stand on footstools, and possibly climb a safety ladder.*
